Today's topic was a game changer for me when I moved into a whole new area and didn't really know anyone, other than family. LITERALLY.

Okay now let's get to the point. Meetup. It's an awesome app and after discovering it, it changed everything. The way this app works or the concept of it is to meet people. Sounds simple, right? Okay, so you want to start your own business or want to meet new potential prospects but don't know where to find people? Meet up asks you what you are interested in once you first create your account and again it doesn't have to be business, you could want to just want to be more in tune with your community. 

After selecting your interests, it will generate certain groups that are created by your community that you can join and see the next time they will meet. I mean you could be a movie fanatic, you will find a group of people who want to go to the movies together. It's a wonderful way to get to know new people and add more diversity and like-minded people to your friend group. This helped both Michael and I meet other entrepreneurs in and around our area and now we have our favorite social networking events in the Spartanburg/ Greenville area of South Carolina! We've built connects, did some networking. made friends and ultimately, it helped us get out of our shell! 

The best part is, some of these groups sponsor FOOD! Everyone likes food, you can't go wrong with a little food and wine to meet new people.
