Keep Failing & Here is why

Good morning Strikers and Happy Sunday, Today I wanted to touch basis on the topic of failure.  I feel like there is such a dark stigma on failure and we have learned to view it and a very negative perspective.  For myself, I’ve failed so many times in my life. I’ve had a combination of small and big failures. All handled differently, sometimes the overwhelming feeling felt crippling and other times it was short lived and I started again.  What I’m trying to say is, embrace your failures and use them as momentum to learn from your mistakes and overcome or correct those mistakes next time. You live and you learn. If it didn’t workout this time it doesn’t mean, it’s over, it doesn’t mean give up.  Think of it this way, you want to lose weight and forming the habit of going to the gym and trying to build a routine was going well but then you allowed your mind to tell you that there has been no progress and you fall off. First of all, you have to realize that progress is progress, sometime

So I've been on a journey... and here's what I've learned so far.

Hello hello Strikers, It's been a very long time since I've blogged. A LOT has happened since my last post. For example, WE"RE IN A PANDEMIC.  I'm sure a lot of us were not expecting that at all and it most definitely showed some of the world's inner demons thru hate, and so on. We've learned that RACISM is still at the top of the list of what's wrong in our country. (shocker)  Oh, I decided to sign up for a bodybuilding competition a few weeks before everything shut down especially gyms. My Thought process was simple. I'm not happy with where I'm at in my health and fitness journey. This is the time to work on me and used the competition as a big incentive because ya girl had to pay for that! One thing I've learned in the marketing business is if you pay for it, you do it or it becomes more important to you. It's mainly because in the back of your head all you hear is CHA-CHIIIIIIING! Or so I do at least. Oh, I'm going through a break-

I've decided to QUIT my business.

Hey Strikers! As a few of you know if you've read all of my posts, I was mainly focusing on a business that I started about a year and a half ago with my significant other, Michael. We were on this mission or journey of becoming financially stable and overcoming the paycheck to paycheck struggle. We were in our early 20's struggling to pay rent, buy a decent car, had jobs that made us realize how replaceable we were and had just gone through 2 miscarriages. We learned about social media marketing and how to start the business. we learned and failed so many times, moved from Texas to South Carolina and established ourselves pretty well. It's been a very interesting journey so far, we've grown as a couple, our mentality has flourished and entrepreneurship has definitely put us through the wringer for sure. I believe that we have learned a lot about ourselves as individuals and as a team, learned to start and run a business but the biggest lesson of all was that th

Living in the moment

Hey Strikers, Today is another day to be grateful for everything we have including the people we love. If you guys follow me on any of my other social media platforms like Instagram and snapchat, you’d know that there was a tornado that hit really close to my literal home yesterday morning. Most of the town is without electricity and there is a significant amount of damage in little old Spartanburg, South Carolina.  I’m currently having to create this blog via phone in the app because I have no WiFi. Although, I wasn’t personally affected other than not having any electricity, I can’t speak for others. However, I think this was a reality check to how quickly life can take a huge turn. I feel and personally I know that sometimes we get comfortable in our routines that we take things for granted. Having a roof, food, loved ones, health and overall life.  We forget to live in the present, forget to call people we love, forget to tell others how we feel and so on. Today and ev

Why being "selfish" is okay and important.

Happy Friday Strikers! I hope the end of the month is coming to accomplishing some of your goals or at least kicking off your year to a great start! So, The word "SELFISH" has this negative stigma and it's like this "BAD" thing or characteristic to have. However, I believe that everything has its pros and cons. Yes, of course, being so selfish that you forget about what is important or even come to a disconnect with society as a whole isn't what I'm really talking about here. What I'm trying to say is, it's okay to be selfish for yourself.  If you ever need to seclude yourself from others because you're focusing on yourself, then do that.  If you need to use all your time to plan, pursue and develop goals that will lead you to a happier version of yourself, it's okay. If being away from social media to not get distracted or not compare yourself to other people who are achieving their goals and so on. DO that. This is sounding

“Why you should start having monthly goals”

Hey Strikers!  Happy Friday everyone, I hope your week was a good one and are getting ready to relax for the weekend. Lately, I’ve been posting on Monday’s but I recently launched a podcast last week and thought it would be even better if I switched my days around. To quickly summarize the concept of my podcast, let’s just say it’s mostly focused on personal growth as I do here but a little different. The name of my podcast is “Let’s Grow w/ Sidney Andino”; I’ll leave a link below in this post for you to check it out if you’re interested in learning more about it!    Now that that’s all out of the way, I wanted to talk about goals. Not just any goals but monthly goals. I feel like a lot of the time I was in high school, (almost 8 years ago, boy where does the time go?!) teachers always asked me what my goals were a year from now, 5 years and even 10 years. Like, I hardly even know my age half the time! Well anyway, I found that setting goals closer to a reachable timeframe
